In her works' Tova Lotan (born 1952  ) combines textile and sewing as a part of an engagement whith memory and inter-generational and familial relationship. She fashions what she calls an "inverse aesthetics". The meticulous, comfortable, and gentle aspect of sewing is expectly what does not recieve center stage in her about  the works, the spotloght  is instead turned to its invers side, which hides the knots, the reinforcement, and the mistakes.

In the series  Achilles ' she weaved sketches  of houses , drawn by children during  graphological diagnose, on four  pictures of women's ankles. The gentle stiches form a broken crisscrossed outline of image, and in their  fragility, they are merged into the vulnerable image of the ankle.
